I grew up in Nova Scotia on the Shubenacadie River. The highest tides in the world, the Bay of Fundy, and it’s rivers easily led to a dedication toward aquatic biology. My exploration started in the intertidal zone, I have a masters in marine mammalogy and ocean noise, and a PhD on hydropower reservoir impacts on salmon migration. I am now working as an acoustic analyst and marine mammal observer for Fisheries and Oceans Canada.
